Can anyone please give me ideas for appropriate songs to play. Please provide the name of the song, and the artist of you know it.

homecoming is a special dance, so lots of slow songs!!

I love all music. However, for a homecoming dance. . .the key word is DANCE. I would avoid any rock/punk/alternative music (all the I love it) it really isn't danceable. . .
Check out the soundtracks for the movies. . .
Take The Lead, Step Up, Save The Last Dance, etc.
You'll absolutely find some really good music on those. Go to amazon.com and they'll give you the song list AND you can sample the music.

Contact the homecoming committee to see what the "theme" of homecoming will be. Then find songs that fit the theme. Also, ask them to write down 50 songs that they wish you would play. Is there really a wrong song? Good Luck

Just play alot of club, hip-hop, reggeaton(if u know what that is), and reagea. But what I want to know is if your a DJ shouldn't you know these things anyway. Be sure to play the Cha Cha too.
