He was the brother of John Adams, served in the continental congress, and led the group (The sons of Liberty) responsible for the Boston Tea Party.

My history teacher said it's not the Bastards of London-that's not what they wanted to be seen as. Because they were tied to the tyrannical Great Britain--they had France as their enemy-because England was enemies w/ France. The revolution said "We can get along on our own w/o ENGLAND, to HELL w/ him~ We can also pull the strengths of other Euro. countries if need be--as long as we're not attached to this stupid country that insists on ruining our lives"
Sons of liberty was very important. and that was 1765
