It depends on the state.
In some states, drivers Ed is required if you are a certain age, not if older.
You do need parental consent.
Study the written materials & have a parent or guardian take you to the DMV for the written test.

Driver's Ed helps. Or just have your parent or guardian take you to the DMV and take the written and driving exam. Think you have to be over 16 or something like that.

Just go to the DMV or call them and they will tell you, there's really noting to it.
