I don't think they hear. I think fish feel vibrations.

Although their system works nothing like ours, it still counts as hearing. It does have to do with vibrations involving both the swim bladder and the inner ears that are composed of a number of organs called Otoliths. No matter how you look at it the fish are hearing - studies show they typically hear frequencies ranging from 30 to 3000 htz.

Go to www.livescience.com tells all about fish and other animals and more-----human ears according to Science(Not Creationism) developed from ancient fish gills- fish today have bones set deep within their skulls that are their ears, they just lack the outer ear but human ears have a bone deep inside the ear that is necessary for hearing. So YES fish have ears and do hear

Fish hear by sensing vibrations in the water and around them. They don't have ear canals. They also use their lateral line as another sense, that works like a magnetic pulse, so when it's dark, they can see obstructions, other fish etc.

Wow great question...I don't know about ears, but I think they have gills as said in the song:

Fish have gills, my lord
Fish have gills
Fish have gills, my lord
Fish have gills
Fish have gills, my lord
Fish have gills
Oh lord, fish have gills...

I know it says gills, but I don't remember a verse talking about ears...

Good Luck!!
