you may need to replace the water heater. let me ask this question--- does it only happen for a very short time when you turn on the hot water then stops or is cloudy and yellow for a long time?? if it's just for a short time then you need to replace the nipple that holds the tub spout on with a brass one and this will solve the problem------but if it's for a long time then you need to repalce the water heater You may have hard water and this will form a scale on the inside of the wtr htr. Hard water means there is alot of minerials in the water( nothing you can do about this) and when heated it will cling to the insides of the wtr htr. replaceing the wtr htr will slove this. And when you do keep the wtr htr and cut it open to see what I"m talking about.........good luck

your hot water might need a new pipe or a filter because hot water is runned through a different pipe. Call your water company>

The answer is variable to hom you make your hot water. If you havea tank it may bethat the anode rod is no longer atracting minerals. If you live in apartment building it may be sediment in piping coming out after a repair.Think about what may have chaged.

You need to flush out your tank. That is all the sediment that is building up on the bottom of the tank. This Will cause the heating elements to short out if your unit is electric. The tank should be flushed out once a year.

Due to the higher scaling in your piping system or somewhere it is being clogged with a higher scales.Check your Boiler tank and remove the scale from the bottom and wall of your water tank.Or you might have repaired the boiler and piping systems.

a few times a year you should open the valve on the bottom of the water heater and take out about a gallon of water. it's sediment off the bottom of the tank.
