Clams do have a high level of cholesterol. However, if you do not overdo it, you can still enjoy a few and not worry.

Most shellfish and mollusks are pretty high in cholesterol, I would say just watch portion size and don't dip in butter. Also don't eat it too often. Your doctor can probably set some guidelines up that you guys agree on.
