Any body know the storyline behind Half Life 2?

Oh yes. but there really is too much to explain.
in a nutshell, Gordon Freeman was a scientist at the Black Mesa Research Facility. An experiment went wrong and allowed a bunch of aliens to teleport into it. Gordon had to fight his way out and eventually ended up going to the alien world Xen and destroying the main alien dude Nihlanth. then the G-man (the guy in the blue suit you see in the beginning of Half-Life 2) makes Gordon his "employee" and the game ends. also Barney was a security guard at Black Mesa and Dr. Kleiner and Dr. Vance were scientists there.
