If the problems stem from people's opinions of you, you can tackle this in several ways:

1) Quite simply, stop letting people's opinions of you affect how you see yourself. If somebody's trying to tear you down, why are you going to trust them to have an honest, objective viewpoint?

2) Give yourself a break. The sooner you can learn to like yourself and treat yourself well when nobody else is around, the sooner your internal attitude can transform into what you are hoping to be.

3) If your current social group treats you less than well, find a new social group.

Hope that helps. Probably should've put #2 as first, because that's where it all starts.

Whatever may have happened to you, you sound like you've become very self-conscious as a result. I had the same problem once until someone pointed out that most people are busy thinking about their own lives--too busy, in fact, to be thinking much about you. In a movie or television show, you'll see the main character or characters in a public place and there will be people in the background to make the scene look real--they're called "extras." You're an extra in everybody else's personal movie, part of of the background. This sounds kind of demeaning and I don't mean it that way, but I'm convinced it's true and I found it to be a big relief. I stopped worrying about what everyone thought about when I realized that nobody was really paying that much attention. Even friends are wrapped up mainly in their own lives. If you keep this at the back of your mind, maybe you'll be a bit more free to enjoy yourself.

You I think are seeing things in others that I believe isn't what you may think it is. Sorry about all that you are going through at this present time in your life. We all go through this in our lives many times too, but just find something that you enjoy doing. Take small steps in the beginning, ok.

Don't worry what others MAY be thinking, half the time it isn't even what you think they are thinking.

Relax and try to find that special something you like to do, and just do it. Good Day......Good Luck
