By the time people on minimum wage get their check with their raise on it, everyone will have compensated by raising their prices. At least they can feel good for about 3 seconds before reality hits home again.

Economists have done the math and said that goods and services will barely go up. However, raising the minimum wage over several years isn't going to provide much relief because wages have not kept up with inflation.
But Congress can vote to raise their wages nine times in six years.
