I dont want to insult anyone ...I always wanted a gay guy as a friend.Those are the happiest people i have ever seen .Are there any gay guys that once dated women ?Why the switch ?Why are you always sooo happy ?When you discovered that you were gay do you ever make any new straight female friends?

I once dated women, and had sexual experience with them, but feel it was more of a pressured, what your suppose to do, type of thing rather then my deep down wish or connection on my part.
I made the switch because I was born gay, and under social conditioning I thought it was wrong and was trying to suppress it and make myself straight. The switch was because I refused to lie to myself anymore, whats the point.
Im always so happy because I love myself, I love the people around me, and I think a major part of it is that I dont give a rats *** what other people think about me. Not having the pressure of having to "conform" is very freeing and makes me happy. I enjoy "drawing outside the lines" so to speak. When you are conditioned to follow or "going with the flow" you are not truly living. Truly living is what makes you happy. So thats why I am happy. 1) I dont care what others think of me, 2) find where everyone is going and go the opposite way, 3) Always put yourself around people who love you and care about you, 4) Love yourself and believe in yourself, 5) Give, give, and give some more... Give even when you expect nothing in return. As the quote says "The true measure of a man is how he treats someone who can do him absolutely no good" - Samuel Johnson.
No I never made any straight female friends after I was gay. Dont know why really.

I agree with you about homosexual males being for the most part being happy. Look up the meaning of gay. =D.
I was in a relationship with a female. At that time I was experiences my homosexuality on a different level than before. I believe I was always gay to begin with. There really wasn't a switch.
As a gay male, I took a lot of pride in being gay. So I guess that is why I was happy. And ESPECIALLY after meeting my first love.
I discovered that I was gay for sure at the age of 15. I always knew there was something different about me. I just did not understand it.
For some uncontrollable reason my homosexual desire went away.
I am not really sure that I ever had straight female friends. But I have had a LOT of female friends.

I've never dated any women, not to say I wouldn't have in the past. I was never all straight, so I wouldn't say I ever switched. We aren't always happy. I get mad just like everyone else. I make more straight friends all the time. Actually, I have more straight friends than gay ones and I love making new friends as long at they don't discriminate.

hmm.. you won't insult me, so go get a gay guy as a friend, we're out here, F-a-g Hags Unite!! Ok, not every gay guy is happy, don't believe everything you see stereotyped on TV! We're just guys like everyone other guy. We do every job that any other person does, sometimes better, sometimes for less pay. Kinda like women's suffrage really. I once have known gay guys and bi guys who are/were married with kids even and love their kids dearly and even love their wife or ex-wife dearly still. It's love, it's not supposed to be simple. Why switch? hmm be true to thine own self not to the group or mob of society. Most everyone can be "sooo happy" if they choose to be. That is all about the frame of mind you put yourself in. Are you going to have a good day or a bad day when you wake up? Do you hope for every day to be wonderful? etc. Do you choose to surround yourself with wonderful people and have the time of your life all the time? You really should. You don't have to just accept people as friends without getting to know them and what makes them tick. (Actions speak louder than words) The discovery of being gay.. hmm it's not really a discovery, it's more like a revalation .. like "oh.. so that's why I feel that way around girls vs. boys, etc." Because it's not like parent(s) are ever going to ask questions early on and help us figure out if their child is gay, bi, straight, or transgendered. Our society teaches parents to be more recluse than that when it comes to matters of reproduction and the heart. It's a strange taboo. They care and love but.. they don't want to talk about intimate things with their own kids. Kinda sad really as a societal pattern. Some parents are more liberated, let's hope that more become so, choose to be one! At least this is where I draw from my own personal experience growing up in the deep south! I hope this information helps some.

there are gay guys that have dated women but usually that was a cover up. they never really switched they just came out of the closet. their not always happy i mean maybe they seem like they are but their just like everyone else. . .
many gay guys have ALOT of straight female friends. . .

No one wants to be a pet homosexual hon. We know how to relax in life because if we didn't figure out a way, we'd have long since ceased to live. I dated ONE girl in highschool as a last chance "maybe I'm wrong; maybe I am straight". I was not wrong. I have no desire to be fetishized by any straight females; I have made many friends who, after getting to know me, are fine when I tell them I'm gay, but it's incredibly offensive to seek out a token gay friend.

I work with a gay guy and he is one of the best co workers i have, he is just so happy and i love his since of style, he just brightens up the day lol
