Today I took my temp and it was 99.3. When pregnant does your body run hotter than usual?

Damn u people must think I'm stupid. I know you can't tell if you are pregnant or not by your temperature. It was just a question I had. Good Grief!

LOL.. when I read your question... I knew what you meant... that's funny though that ppl thought you were wanting to know if you can tell if your pregnant by taking your temperature..lol. I would call your doctors nurse and ask them. I know for sure though that if your temperature gets over 101 then you definitely need to go to the doctor. Hope this helped ya out.

Your basal body temperature does go up slightly just after implantation, but there are plenty of other things that can also affect your body temperature. If you think you might be pregnant, you should wait until you expect your next period and take a home pregnancy test. The First Response test is the most sensitive. For more information about pregnancy detection, I suggest you look at this website:

Yes, usually your temp stays up if you are pregnant, take your basal body temp each morn, same time and before you get up. You should see a pattern in temps that leads up to and after ovulation. You can get the basal thermometer at Wal-Mart for about 8 dollars. I use a wonderful FREE website called Fertilityfriend.com...it graphs your temps for you, keeps track of your fertility signs, tells you when you ovulate and also tells you if there is an implantation dip in your temps. You can also use Ovulation prediction kits, but they only measure your LH surge and give you a ball park time for ovulation...they do not pin point it. Oh, and it is possible to be ovulating while you do not have your period, just like it is possible to have a period and not ovulate.

Depends on what your normal temp. was to begin with. Most people run about 97.6 or so --
But yes, when you are pregnant your temp. does run a tad higher.
I guess this is the case if you are ovulating also.
Hope that helps

Temperature is not a good way to figure out if you are pregnant. Take a pregnancy test. You can buy one at the grocery store or go to Planned Parenthood and get one for free if you cannot afford to pay.

You can't tell if your pregnant by your temperature.
And in my case, NO my body temperature did not raise at all while I was pregnant.
Take a test if you're that late.

A bigger question is what is your norm temp? Mine's usually around 97.6 so for me 99 is running a low grade fever.
