Convince her that it's best to tell. Pray for her. If she needs to talk, be there. If she needs to cry, be ready. When she's ready to deal with this, the best you can do is be her friend.

She really should go to her doctor and get checked for possible sexually transmitted diseases. If she's unwilling to do that, then help her find a local Planned Parenthood clinic where she can get tested. She should go to her gynecologist and make sure that she hasn't gotten pregnant. It's not her fault that she was raped, but her being silent about makes me think that she feels that the rape is a "stigma". It's not- she a crime victim.

I realize it's scary, the person who raped her could have threatened her if she told someone. The reason she told you instead of someone else is most likely because she trusts you not to tell. You have to decide for yourself is it going to help her more if sh gets help and that person gets consequnces for there wrong doing, or is it going to help more keeping it to yourself when that person might do it to her or other people again?

She needs to tell the police ASAP!!! And then go to the hospital to have a rape test kit done for evidence. The sooner, the better. Tell her not to shower or wash herself yet. It will destroy any evidence that is left on her from the assault. You should encourage her to contact the police and tell her parents (if she is a minor). OK?

If what you say is honest then you have to tell. If your friend does not get some help she will probably have a lot more problems later on in her life. She may get upset, but you would be helping her and maybe protecting others!!

this is such a hard situation and very serious. although she asked you not to tell anyone, you have to for her own good. what if this person had STDS or worse AIDS shes at risk to many things, infections, pregnancy ect. she might be mad at you at first but explain to her why it is important. make her hear you out. you need to understand she just went thru a very dramatic situation that no girl ever wants to go thru. help her out. talk w someone.
good luck and i wish her the best

THis is one of those hard situations ... personally I have been in this exact situation and I finally broke down and told someone - make sure if you do, its an adult and they'll know what to do. Its better for your friends well-being... especially when the a hole that did it, could get caught....

At the very least, convince her to go get a medical checkup. She could have caught something. If she says she can't afford it, then make some calls and help her find a place that she can afford.

OMG you have to tell someone, i garrentee you that she will thank you in the end, she doesnt want you to tell cause it is embarrising, but you need to convince her that when the going gets tough she needs to grit her teeth and get help, that is a very very serious crime
