I have a two and a half year old daughter and a 6 month old son. We just found out that we might be pregnant again. I am going to the doctor this comming week, but am curious for any information you can give.

Usually six weeks depending how soon you start having sex again. Most wait at least six weeks. I've heard that breast feeding slow down the chances of getting pregnant but that might be just an old wise tell.

My neighbor got pregnant two weeks after the birth of her son. She mistakenly thought that since she was breastfeeding she couldn't get pregnant again. Wrong! A woman is extremely fertile after giving birth and breastfeeding IS NOT a form of birth control. Anyway, she had another son and is very happy although very tired!

You can get pregnant within a few weeks after giving birth. They do a pregnancy test at your 6-week checkup after your baby is born, and my doctor informed me you would be shocked the number of pregnancies they detect at that time. The pregnancy test they do would not show positive unless it was at least 10 days since you conceived.

If you are having sex.....you could be pregnant. My sister and I are 10 1/2 months apart. My mother got pregnant with her when I was 6 weeks old!!!

You are more fertile after the birth of a child, there is a good chance you could be pregnant.

You can get pergnant right after having a baby. (not reccomended) I work with a girl who has 2 kids that are 11 months apart.

To believe it or not it's a known fact that a woman can get pregant again the day she had a baby. If she wants to have sex the same day..ouch.

You are more prone to get pregnant very soon after you have your baby rather than later.You may be pregnant again
