Whats an easy/cheap way to start Recoring my music@?!?

Hey Im a singer songwriter.....i only play acoustic guitars and I have a brand new computer....(its fast) i have an m-audio usb preamp that i used to use on my laptop but i want better sound quality any recommendations on programs or equipment. should i get a firewire preamp or get a good sound card....im in the dark i really dont know whats worth buying vs. whats not. thx

Eureka preamp is cheap but sounds a bit better than your m-audio. Get a decent tube condensor mic for vocals (Rhode has some good quality ones competitivly priced). If you have enough $ Use "protools DIGI002R" for your pc to edit and record. Awesome program and just like the ones in the big studios.
