In principle even very simple tools are an example of technology. A society that had no technology at all would be living like animals. But this probably isn't the answer you wanted. My advice is to refine the question and make it more detailed: for instance, what period do you mean by "Ancient India"? Harappan civilisation? Vedic city states? Then you can look at new inventions of that period, things they had that their ancestors hadn't had, and ask what benefits they got from them. Or, conversely, you could look at a collapse like that of the Harappans around 1700BC and see if they lost any technologies, and if so what impact that had on them.
