Why can't guys express how they feel if they are upset with you?

Because guys are not verbal like we are, they don't have the gift of gab, they just cannot express themselves. Just leave him alone until he cools down, you might even want to let it go for a day or so, then try talking to him, but if he can't communicate with you, you could be in for some serious never ending fights, by "never ending" I mean fights that are never resolved due to his inability or refusal to communicate, if thats the case you might want to think about getting some counseling or find someone else. Relationships where there is poor communication don't tend to survive. I now have a man who WILL talk to me about EVERYTHING! Good Luck!

Guys who don't express their feelings when they're upset are that way because they hold themselves to a high standard of self.

That may sound overinflated, but it's kinda true.

They don't want t express their anger, and feel that they should be above petty emotions, like the Buddha, or Jesus.

And generally, if they are not goaded about their lack of expression, it's easier for them to control their anger, and let it fall to the wayside.

However, while this may be the intent, it is not always the result. Men who swallow their emotions often start to brood and turn it all inward, giving them ulcers.

first dont stereo type us guys ! Not all guys are like that !but to be honest from a guys standpoint it all depends, if im in luv with u i would want you to know wat im thinking feeling etc but if WE r in luv with each other you would already know , but in some guys defense , sumtimes were afraid of tellin the truth because we dont want to hurt the girls feelings maybe deep down we really luv them so y hurt them by tellin them the truth about sumthing that has no real value or meaning i guess it really depends on the situation in most cases i would tell u exactly how i feel because after all honesty is always the best policy! And also in guys defense, please , girls get much more emotional than guys do so lets just say for instance , u have been gettin friendly with sum guy, nothin will ever happen between u an him , u know that , but i dont , but i see u gettin closer an closer but dont realize its strictly friends, i take it wrong now do u want me to come unglued? which is where most guys go , so then u become defensive and a fight ensues , is that wat u want from me? no u want understanding committment so like i said it all depends on the situation and most likely in the aforemention case you would go off on me like wat rnt i spose to have any friends that r guys wat dont u trust me so on an so forth so u see sumtimes the guys just sit there and dont really know how to handle a situation so its not like we really cant express how we feel its really that we dont know how to handle the situation to find the real truth without upsetting the one we luv the most?!!

Because a typical way for a guy to act when he is mad is to lash out with anger and voilence. They don't sit down and talk and reveal all of their feelings, its not a "guy" thing to do. You just have to make a guy feel comfortable and make sure he knows that he can talk to you... its a long shot, but eventually they'll start opening up...

Really..... You want a man to tell you that he's upset with you because you talk to much, or you ignore him, or any other thing. It would just be an arguement. I personally like to keep my anger bottled up. I've got a special place for it, and when it gets full, its best not to ask me to 'express myself' so, let him tell you on his own time.

men are **** heads when it comes to this my boyf just walks out and goes for a drive when ever he has the hump then comes back and acts like nothing has happened but this is just guys i guess in a wierd way they are trying to save our feelings but instead we sit panicking that its the end of us !!!! all i can say is its most men so dont worry let him strop and then move on the more you bring it up the more likely he is to get the hump and talk to you less good luck
