inspect troops... and well, they look bored to tears, although they do smile politely at me and call me M'am..... but I was thinking, how appropriate would it be to do the moonwalk down the line... do you think they would enjoy that better?

The moonwalk? Yes. But if you really want to get the troops on your side why not start the YMCA? Once that starts it's close to impossible not to join in, and surely the troops with enjoy the new interactiveness of your inspection.

How about a synchronised moonwalk with the laughing duke? They might find it more interesting if you had bullseyes on your forehead. Think of the ratings from Gallup. The public would really support you then

Well first of all they wouldn't smile politly and call you m'am, they would keep a very unchanging stern look on their face, they would bow and would not speak to you unless you spoke to them first, so I guess you are just one big liar.

Yes I think they would really enjoy it, especially if you went in and out around them like a slalom, that way each rank would get an extra view.

Just have them turn around and do a rear inspection instead. Then you won't be able to tell if they are bored or not....
