i'm having trouble playing the chord F
I just can't get my first finger on both of the strings in the first fret. I can get my finger on the one string, but never on the other.
Please, does anybody have any tips that could help me w/ this chord?

my teacher always said to move your wrist lower..like bend it more
and play it over and over until your hand hurts

if it feels wierd, then you have the shape and once you get used to that then the fingers will come in place..
its like its not in our "comfort zone" so we tend to move it down

I cheat, depending on the song if you only need the top part of the chord or the bottom...Does that make sence..? You can make half a F chord by only mashing the first 2 strings and picking the bottom 3...or vis-versa..

Have you tried playing it as a bar chord? try that it is a little more difficult but you will have the harmony of both e strings being in F

just keep practicing. it can be hard at first. it took me forever to get it so don't worry. just keep working on it. you'll get it.
