No woman likes their period - if you are experiencing heavy bleeding or abnormal bleeding, then you need to explain it to your GYN. There are several products on the market to help control your bleeding - mainly birth control - just see your GYN.

I looked at your other questions to get an idea of how old you are so maybe I could answer your question better. In one you say you are in 7th grade, in another you say you are 17 years old. I hope you are not 17 and in 7th grade.
As far as your period, I'm afraid there is not much that can be done to make it more comfortable, you will get used to it, however there is a birth-control pill on the market that will let you skip your period most months, you end up only having a period 4 times a year. This isn't harmful for you. I would say this is a good option for you if you are really 17, but a bad option if you are only in 7th grade. And just because you are on the pill doesn't mean you should have sex without a condom, there are lots of diseases out there, some of them incurable.

Unfortunately you can't stop it. That means you'll just have to learn to deal with it. Over time you will learn what's best for you. But for now maybe this will help. Tampons work better than pads to stop the icky wet feeling. You also don't have the "wearing a diaper" feeling or sound. But if you cramp a lot, tampons could make them worse. They cause you to have more blood clots which is usually why you have cramps in the first place. You may be able to control that with Midol or other pain medication though.Don't be afraid to try different things. You'll find something you like.

The only way I can avoid the gross feeling is by using a tampon. I'd suggest getting trial sizes until you find one you like. Personally I love the Tampax Compax. If you can't get it in right lean forward really far and try again. Of course I didn't start using them until I was 19! Good luck!

I know how you feel. I can't stand periods. I always feel wet and gross. I want to use tampons, so I don't feel wet, but I hate them. Just make sure you change pads often, that helps you stay dry. I'm sorry I couldn't help you much, but at least now you know other people feel the same way.

What did you expect. What kind of answer do you want. There is nothing you can do about it, I got mine at 11 and I never complained. You just have suck it up. You can't make it feel any less gross. You just have to wear a pad or tampon and maybe get some midol.

Unfortunately, there isn't much you can do about this. It's just a biological process all women go through. What you can do is take extra care of yourself during this time. Take nice long showers, dress comfortably, eat well, try to work out a bit, and alternate between pads and tampons so that you can find what you like best.

I used to have that same problem especially when I first got my period it was creepy to feel the blood and stuff and it was gross to feel it drip and to feel wet nad sticky all the time and a solution that worked well for me ieven though it may not for you is to wear tampons. you hardly notice your period because you don't feel all the ickyness that wearing a pad brings.

Well I hate my periods because they make my feel so self conscious and that's why i use tampons they at least help me a little.
And I think that pill is still out there where you will only have for periods a month. I hope it is!
