Political Correctness
Technology

because neither work !!!

Political correctness is stifling humour - when was the last time you heard a really funny joke like the old Scottish, English & Irish type jokes or some smutty witticism using a double entendre !

There's no discipline anymore - if you smack a child you're almost labelled a peodophile - & then we arrive at the hoody culture where only the other day I heard about a bus having a brick thrown at it and then the driver!

Technology - how many times have you heard on the phone ''I'm afraid I can't do anything sir - the systems down''. It's only down because it wasn't programmed properly in the first place or someone updated the system with new software that wasn't really compatible with the old or there's not enough memory to cope with the work load or, or, etc., ad infinitum.

Does anyone agree with me that THESE are the real issues in the world today and not yet another country wanting respect by gaining nuclear technology ?

Certainly - if we don't deal with the issues of discipline and technology - I feel the future is looking very bleak !

How on earth can it get any better if no one EARNS the respect of their elders who most of the time are wiser just by the fact they have been around longer !

How can we get anything done with all this fantastic technology if most of the time we are on the phone to the accounts department because the bills wrong or the helpdesk because the latest piece of technology we've bought doesn't work - which in some situations can be a matter of life or death ? !!!

Agree! But don't forget that the reason some of these issues happen is due to Affirmative Action. They need to hire people that know how to do the job and not because of their minority status, no matter what gender or race. Both problems near solved!

However, these are not the only two issues plaguing societies and the world at large. There are many.

Cubalishus - too many children have too many technological toys. There is nothing wrong with a good old-fashioned swat on the behind. Haven't you been paying attention to the rise in juvenile crime?

People feeling sorry for themselves. Over crowding in schools.
America not having socialized medicine. Disrespecting the elderly. Expecting the average "Joe Schmo" citizen to support themselves on a pitiful minimum wage job. 1 bedroom apt. going for 1,000$ a month. In the inner city. Paying sports stars and music stars and actors millions upon millions of dollars to entertain us when there are so many homeless, hungry people in the US. Even those that are not homeless must decide between heat or food some months. Elderly people having to use up their entire pension/ss checks to pay for medications that they will most likely die without. People assuming that EVERY homeless person is "lazy" or is addicted to booze/drugs. Telling obviously unemployable people to "get a job" when they ask for food. By unemployable I mean the very old people or very mentally ill people or physically handicapped and the special education people. NOT addicts. Although they need help too.
Obnoxious kids that tear down peoples Halloween decorations because their parents have not told them that you don't touch other peoples property!

You only hear about the failures in technology - an awful lot of it is working perfectly fine - this website for instance!

And PC is in response to racism and descrimination - i'd rather it make a few mistakes that go back to the past.

I don't agree that those are the real issues, nor do I agree that the real issue has to do with nuclear technology. I'd say the two things wrecking modern society are fear and apathy. If I had to choose a third thing, I'd say overpopulation.

I agree with the technology part of your question but not about the smacking of children part because of the PC brigade and them thinking anyone does is a paedophile, children should not be smacked full stop, you don't go round smacking adults and get away with that do you, that is GBH, discipline is not smacking its taking privileges away from them like their televisions and stereos from their bedrooms until they behave themselves.

Amen to that, I spoke back the coolest comparable issues as quickly as I examine the identify. you may no longer say something devoid of offending somebody those days. you may no longer say all and sundry's epidermis colour devoid of it being racist, you may wave your faith in anybody's face except this is Christianity. the entire 'all and sundry receives a trophy; no one misplaced' mentality is what's bringing our society down because of the fact very few toddlers be attentive to while it potential to paintings for some thing those days(i'm purely 21 yet I nevertheless see a extensive distinction in my early existence while in comparison with my 11 one year outdated brother's) As for technologies- this is super(at instances), however the mere fact that they outsource each and every thing having to do with electronics those days is only ridiculous. i might upload united statesauthorities to that checklist besides because of the fact enable's settle for it: this is not any longer getting to any extent further powerful decrease than "the chosen One's" rule.

People have lost the meaning of respect. Nobody wants to earn it anymore. People think they start with all the respect in the world and then if someone takes away any of that respect or does no show them 'enough' then they have to defend it with violence.

No. Only because that has to be one the worst phrased questions and follow up I have seen for some time. Your follow up makes no sense. Finish 10th grade, then ask the question again.
