Mouse/rat pellets. When they eat it, they die and dry up. Cover any openings around pipes or under doors too and move debris away from your home. OH...get a hungry cat or two.

Mice do not like moth balls. By placing moth balls around the foundation of your house it should help keep them away. Once you get them in your house, there are lots of kinds of mouse traps that will work. They also have a trap that has several holes in it to catch more than one mouse at a time. There are glue traps, plastic traps, and the regular ones. Mouse poison is also good to use, but don't place it where children or your other pets can get to it. If all fails get a cat. Make sure anyplace they could come in is sealed up.

I would say a cat too. And if you don't want it inside, just keep it inside for a while, until your problem is gone, then let it stay outside. Idont like cats but we do have a female outside cat and have never had a mouse or rat problem. She does like to kill them and bring them on the car port though(rather that then inside!). She is just proud ofher kill. I would suggest that if you get a female have her spayed we had 2 litters this year before we got her spayed. I actually have 3 kittens that I would be glad to give away! I'm sure she's training them!

There are several things that you can do. You could get a cat. That seems to scare them away. You can also get mouse traps. Be sure to keep crumbs up off of the floor. They will definitely come in if there is something to eat.

To get rid of mice you might want to try the following:
1) Place a small amount of instant potato's on a tray/place near the trails the mice make.
2) a little further down the trail place a cup of water.
Mice like the dry flakes but it makes them thirsty . They will eat till full and then go and drink the water. The flakes expand in their stomach and they expand, thus killing themselves from over eating.

Buy mouse traps and put peanut butter on them and place them next to a wall where you suspect the mice travel. They must be next to a wall because mice use their whiskers to feel where they're going and they use walls to guide them. Do not use poison if you have pets or children in the house.

Cold room temperatures and the neighbor's cat. Also, rent a commercial steam cleaner and sanitize the house.
