It gives us a reason to browse the internet for usefull information while being told how sexy Lionel Ritchie is and putting up with our girlfriends/wives laughing at Ant and Dec's unfunny jokes.

I don't watch any TV at all BUT...... If there was a woman here' she'd probably insist on watching all that brainless gash every damn night. I don't understand it either. Leave her in the living room with her Hollyoaks, buy a Norton Commando and restore it in the kitchen.... if she complains, move the bike slap bang in front of the telly, so she can use the kitchen cook you a meal.

I'm not being sexist, or using irony... I did exactly that, but it was a Suzuki sp370, not a Norton Commando. A month later, she had a hobby too.... and the Telly was gathering dust at least four nights a week.

The point is who with any intelligence would want to watch the imported American rubbish and the Debbie, Sharon and Tracy typecast loud mouthed third rate presenters who come from Essex.
Most television programmes are produced by morons for morons.

I must be out of the ordinary. I love sports, hate soaps and detest reality shows. I keep saying that's the only reason my husband married me - I have the same tv tastes as him, and he can debate the rugby/football/boxing with me while he watches his fave stuff!

Ps - talking of which, the Big Fight Special is starting in 10 mins on ITV 1 - gotta go!

Never heard of a VCR, or a digital recorder with a hard drive. Record what you want, watch it later. I do shift work which means some of my favourite programs are on when I'm away on night shift. Solution - program the VCR(you do know how to program a VCR?), watch later or on my days off. Job done.

You obviously have the women in the UK confused with the women all over the rest of the world... not ALL of us are addicted to the TV. Take me for instance. I have one in my apt., and it rarely gets looked at. I am too busy being a computer addict.
