Why can't they be both?!? I don't think anyone should have to choose between their spouse or their kids.

Obviously the kids. The kids need to be dependent on adults, so they need mom to take care of them. When kids are sick they can't make their own tea, they need someone to make it for them. On the other hand, the spouse is more independent and requires less care than the kids. If he/she needs something they can do it themselves.

Spouse first, if kids are over 18. Kids first if kids are under 18. Bottomline. Period. That's it. Nuff said.

Mines are my kids and will always be ... You can change spouses any day but you can never replace your kids.
