Depending on which version of itunes you have, you should either click on the "Update .....ipod" menu choice on the left hand side menu branch (scroll down) - when you first got the ipod you need to set it up and give it a name - if you haven't it may still be listed there as a device - or if you've got the most recent version, you need to take the first menu drop down which is "synch ipod". Hope this helps.

to provide up piracy, Apple has made it so as that music can't be transferred from the iPod to iTunes. archives can purely be transferred from iTunes to the iPod. I truthfully have an identical concern with my new lappy. to sidestep your music from being erased out of your iPod, you are able to manually cope with your music. There are classes which you would be able to acquire that permit you to pass your music from iPod to a sparkling iTunes. Google it,

When the songs are in the library, just drag them to the iPod icon. They will automatically go there. Or go to iPod options and select automatic updates that send files from the library to the iPod itself when the iPod is connected. Make sure you can see that your iPod appears in iTunes. If not, try apple iPod support.
