This is proof that fish do have eyelids and they use them occasionally to clean their eyes. The eyelids are clear looking and if you go to this website you will an example of what I am talking about. Because fish are in the water, all they really have to do is swim to clean there eyes. They do blink on occasion to make sure though. Check out the site.

Fish don't blink. Humans and animals blink to protect and moisturize their eyes. Fish don't have to, so they don't even have eyelids.

We blink to a) keep our eyes moist
b) remove airborne particles from the eye
Fish blink because there are waterborne particles that get in Their eyes.

the reason animals and humans blink is because they need to remoisturize their eyes. and since fish live under water they don't have eyelids and it's unecessary.

We blink to wet or eyes when they dry up. Fish blink to dry their eyes if they become too .... wet !!! Pretty logical !

They dont, no eyelids, Sharks do have a membrane that protects the eyes during an attack
