Yeah, I was prescribed birth control at 13 for bad cramping! The low level of hormones in birth control pills these days means that it isn't harmful to take them for a long period of time. And they help out with acne which is always a bonus!!

I was on it at 14 for bad cramps. The pill seem to be prescribed for all sorts of reasons, not just birth control.

Birth control helps to stabalize your hormones, and it does help with acne if you don't have it. A lot of people who go to high school with me are on birth control for those reasons, so yes it it very normal.

Yep they give out birth control to regulate your period and alot of other things.It aslo helps control acne.Nothing is strange about taking birth control don't worry about it.Alot of young women are on the pill for different reasons.So u are not alone.....Just try it see if it helps you .If u don't like it go back to your doctor and let him know.I'm pretty sure he will be able to help u out....

I didnt but my bestfriend was put on it to regulate her period. You might experience weight gain you period will be shorter and less of a blood flow but take them daily or else it will screw your whole cycle over and for the acne it wrks wonders trust me

yea it's perfectly normal there's probably just a lot of chemicals in the birth control that can help you with other issues and yes my sister took it sometimes it'll make u gain weight or such. ask your doctor or mom i'm sure they wouldn't mind telling you the other side effects.

Yes a friend of mine was on it when she was 13 or 14, to regulate her cycle, and my younger sister was put on it at14 to help with hers. It is very regular to do. Good luck, I hope it helps you!!
