Ive hit a writers block in my work. I'm a singer/songwriter I play mostly acoustic guitars so if anyone has any ideas for a song or maybe an interesting chord progression to mess with I'm ALL EARS. =)

mess around with those.
the first one is out of a song i tried writing, but couldn't come up with lyrics to.

Have you tried taking a road trip? I heard that some time alone or with a friend in a car having yourself an adventure can bring plenty ideas to mind.
That or go somewhere scenic. I myself write in my spare time and I like to just go somewhere quiet and relaxing like bench on a path surrounded by fall trees or down to the beach. Just time to reflect on your life and what is going on with you and around you helps tons :)
My favorite writing exercise, not sure if it will help you or not, is to go to a park with people around...and write a story based on what you notice about them. Maybe they look sad or are studying...run with that. What is their background...are they in love? Did they just have a fight with someone? Are they trying to make it on their own in a new town? It helps the creative juices flow even if you don't end up using any of it in a song or what have you.

Listen to some guitarists who inspire you...some legends, and start with their progression and alter it slightly to make it your own.

compose your music yourself, dont ask for help...thats called COPYING!!................and make a band that way u'll make better music.
