I'm sorry that I don't know the exact answer to your question. I've been in Marketing for over 10 yrs, and we never look at the cost of an individual spot on 1 network - it's just out of context and doesn't make sense. Instead, you look at the collective cost of your total media budget and you scope this out based on your target and your media objectives.

But, just to give you some rough costs & guidelines. There are 2 big parts - 1) producing the spot and 2) buying the media. There are other costs as well such as agency fees and talent & reuse.

First, in general, it will probably cost about $250,000-$300,000 to produce the spot. (This cost could be much higher based on the talent used e.g. using someone famous and how complicated the spot is...so, that cost could be as high as $600,000-$1 million....or, if you did a super low budget commericial (one that looks amateurish), you might be able to do for about $100,000).

Then for buying the media, you would look at your target and when he/she is watching and work w/ an agency to maximize your exposure (i.e. gross rating points) vs. cost to maximize your efficiency. In general, you want to make sure your media meets threshold rates so that your message sinks in with the target. Without getting too complicated, I would say the minimum cost for that would be about $10 million.

Someone who works at an agency might be able to tell you the exact cost per spot in primetime, but it varies greatly based on time, network, day of week and TV show. I know that Superbowl Sunday has the maximum rate, and I believe it was about $2.2 million for a 30 second spot this year. My VERY rough guess for primetime 1 spot would be $30,000-$100,000, but I may be way off.

Almost all blocks are 30 seconds or 60 seconds long, so you will not be finding a 5 second block. Note that Video Professor tends towards late night tv on cable channels where rates are lower. A minimum national ad on say Criminal Minds (30 second one-time buy) is about $110,000 and for which you'll get about 14 million sets of eyeballs (less anyone who went to the bathroom during the commercial break).,

Average cost is : $100,000

Some programs such as top 3 rated shows like AI or can run as high as $1 Million a spot.. World series will be $1.5m superbowl in january will be $3 million a spot..and halftime performer Prince will have banner ads on his stage for $500k each

local tv broadcast or national shows can be had for like $10,000 a minute or sometme $1000 if reruns..

cool thing is you can run an ad on a local station say..example; during the Oprah show..and pay just $1,000-$2,000 but from now on - after it runs- you're allowed to say " as seen on oprah "

It depends on what station & when you want your add to be shown.

If you want the "Prime Air Times" (like during the Superbowl & other major sporting events), you could pay up to $2,000,000 for a 30-second spot. For "Prime Time" TV, it's considerably less (guestimated between $10,000 - $250,000 / 30-second spot).

Check with the network you're planning to advertise on for exact costs.

Anywhere from thousands of dollars to millions. It depends
on which show you want to advertise on. I think the super bowl
is the highest, costing a close to a million or more for
30 seconds.
Highly rated shows in prime time are the most expensive.

all stations are differn't you would best if you went local local would be cheaper but if you find the right firm for a national spot they may find a playce to place you depending if the spot was created or not! between 100-3,000 depending on the season.. fall is more expenceive! but cheaper for annual buys...
this is for local
for national i'm sure it's close to the same but more on the hire end and up to 10,000 for 1 spot! depending on the package you get you may get a deal!
and if your spot is made may give you cheaper rates!
Spot = commercial

It really does depend on the length of the commerical. For a thirty second national TV adverisement I'd estimate arounf $5,000 dollars.
