It is not illegal to have a second job. If your second job is with a competitor, you may have a conflict of interest which may not be acceptable to your full time employer. If you have signed a pre-employment confidentiality agreement and work for a employer in the same industry your can lose you first job and possibly face legal action. But just the act of having a second job is not illegal, but a sign of a person that wants to get ahead and is willing to work for it.

No, it is not illegal. Many people do it all the time. The only thing you have to be careful about is job conflicts. So it is best to see what the rules are for the full time employment - they may not like that you work for competitors, or may need time off your full time job to work your part time job, etc.
I would recommend though that you try to work with your main company - maybe ask for extra work so you can get overtime pay - or ask for a raise so you get paid more - or go to school so you can make more eventually at your full time company. This will work out better for you in the long run.

Unless you signed an agreement with your full time employer that you won't work a part time job in that industry or any other, it's totally legal to "moonlight." These days alot of people do it either working in other places for employers or in their own businesses for extra money.

Yes you can have a PT and a full time job. HOWEVER make sure they are not competitors... for example if you work FT for say Target you can not work for Wal-Mart (who would want too anyway), Meijer, or K-Mart, or any other that they consider a competitor in their market area. Just remember you need some time for a social life too.....

As long as you can do both jobs there is nothing to stop you. You will not get overtime unless the two jobs are operated by the same company. In that case it's not illigel but it will be watched closly. I used to help with hours and scheduling and we watched closly who would work for our "day" company and then try to come work the night crew as well.

That depends on your full time employer. Also, some full time employers that don't mind will have restrictions on it. For instance, if you work for a national lab, they may not allow you to work for another laby (their competition) while employed there.

YES, as long as your full time employer does not restrict this AND this job is not a conflict of interest with your existing job..
