The X Factor has always been a programme in a small country like ours to lose its appeal. American Idol will always be more succesfu. The UK can fit into America dozens of times, therefore holds an audience than can have many idols.
The X Factor will and can only be a success for a short amount of time. I bet that the X Factor will be replaced with another talent search programme.
It is also only the first live show. Give it a few weeks until you know the contestants and you will be hooked!!!!

The talent is lacking a bit, everyone now on the X-factor has nothing X about them, they seem just like every other X show, you need someone who is gonna give something different. in the end its the song that the managers pick for them, the X factor should be all talents, song writers, people using instruments, not something they are gonna be molded into, because thats what happens. just because they can sing should not be everything.

all depends what the X in x factor means,i mean all of the singers have agents even before they were selected, and even now the girl in the wheelchair is starting to walk on crutches, praise the lord the show is a miracle, call me a cynic but its all a show, true talent will show its self no matter what game show you watch x

i agree its rubbish this year, there are better singers being thrown out of every local pub after hours every saturday night. most people that only sing in the shower could do as well if there family's pushed them into it.
