Yes it is normal and I am one of them that are. I was in a bad relationship and now I am married to a wonderful man and wouldn't have it any other way. He brought it to my attention that I was and needed to tone it down so I did but only when we are in public eye. When hes home the man cannot breathe with out me being right there and when hes had enough then he lets me know kindly and we keep going but it hard for me at times but if also fun working up for that special moment in time. So there is nothing wrong with that at all it is just called being deeply and madly in LOVE and there is nothing wrong with that. It also means that you are very happy and would do anything for you spouse. So keep up the good work.

Obsession with anything, much less anyone, is totally unhealthy, and scary. Be careful if you are the subject of the obsession, and if you are the one obsessed with your spouse, seek help to find guidance how to control obsessive thoughts.
I am 4 years into the process of trying to get a divorce with a guy who became obsessed with me, smothered me, and then started to mentally hack at me and keep me isolated from family and friends, just to keep me tied to him. since I decided 'no more', he is now obsessed with punishing me!

If you are insecure in yourself then yes - its not healthy to be obsessed with any other person though and not sure that it can last long term without suffocating the spouse so to speak.

depends what you mean by obsessed..... if you mean you think about ur spouse all the time and that you want to spend every waking minute with them.... then thats a normal feeling.
on the other hand if you mean that you are possesive and want them all for yourself and try to keep them away from their friends and family then thats wrong and you should get help as you´ll lose them behaving like that

I think it’s unhealthy but more common than people realise. It happens for a lot of different reasons, but the main ones being isolation and insecurity, and unfortunately it’s often only outsiders who can see it for what it is.
Often the obsess ional person only sees what was happening in the relationship once they are out of it.

Obsessed as in can't get the person out of your head because you love them so much=NORMAL
Obsessed as in stalking them to work, texting them 50 times a day, and pacing back and forth until they come home=YOU NEED HELP

it isn't really a question of whether its "normal" or not, it happens to certain people, but it is not healthy for either of you. for you it is damaging because you base your entire life around this person, and when they are not there you genuinely don't know what to do and you don't feel like you can actually function.
on the other hand, it is incredibly draining for them, as they need to constantly be thinking of how your going to react to things and always need to try and include you in every aspect of their life.
It is a slippery slope that will eventually lead to the demise of your relationship.

No it is not. You should each have your together times and separate times. Nobody should be completely obsessed with another person. It is not healthy, and it makes you vulnerable to that person.

Depends what you're obsessed about. Sex? Well, he'd probably like that. But don't smother your spouse . Make him desire you too.
