Unfortunately, the "neo-cons" have taken control of the party from the real conservatives and as a result have made a mess of things. Think about the Republican party of Newt Gingrich's "republican revolution" in 1994. Would that party have actually become entangled in a foreign war, created the first new federal entitlement program in 35 years, continued to increase spending in the face of a ballooning federal deficit, and bowed to pressure from big business to stall meaningful immigration reform? I think not. With the exception of two reasonably good supreme court appointments, the past 6 years has been a bitter disappointment for real conservatives. Where is Pat Buchanan when you need him??

I am not happy with the Republican party on the issues of policing the border, overspending and not being more aggressive towards the Democrats.
I in no way believe the Democrats will do a better job on spending and border security.
I believe that the Republicans are handling the economy well. Inflation is low and unemployment is four percent.
I believe the tax cut is responsible for this, I believe the Democrats will raise taxes.
The Republicans are superior on national defense. If we cut and run in Iraq they will follow us home. We will end up going back AGAIN. The Democrats policy of surrender does not appeal to me.
I also believe that the Republicans are much better on the subject of gun control. This is an important topic to me, it is why I got interested in politics
There are things I do not like about the Republican party, but the Democrats offer nothing other than tax hikes and ranting so I have to stay Republican

Republicans have no values,, their corrupt,,, shameful,,and disgusting,, the leadership in the Peoples House, Denny Hastert is involved in a cover-up in the Mark Foley scandal,, the President supports the cover-up,,, child predators should be exposed and exploited just like their victims,, I choose the well being of the children,, they choose their party survival,, shame on the GOP,,,,
Vote Democrat for a change and a chance to take back America

yeah i'm happy, sure they could do better in some areas but i really dont know that anyone given the information on the war could have done anything different..always open for suggestions but there aren't any from either side that makes anyone happy! we are stuck in a rut politically..i'm registered republican but if there was a conservative democrat worth his salt i'd consider it but til then it looks bleak so i'll vote party lines just because i see nothing good coming out of the other camp! remember i live in pa, not really a choice here ..i dislike them both!

I enjoy the protection,
I submit into evidence than "on clintons watch" there were at least 5 attacks on us soil.
on bushes, only one, one that could have been prevented had Clinton arrested bin laden while they had him in custody.
