Why don't they just stay apart for a while till they fell better?

Depending on the relationship, some do actually use space and regather their true hearts desire to know if that person is the real one for them. Also, there is a time when two people are no longer helpful to each other. The individual needs to keep growing in life and the other person could hinder this growth at this time. Space can be the most loving thing you can give another person that you love. To truely love another you must do it unconditionally. This means that being with you may not be the best thing for that person. Even if the person meets someone else, it isn't about what you were a lack of but what they needed to find for themselves in order to be who they are. As much as You may want to be that everything to another, sometime you just can't. As sad as it is to you because you will no longer be close to that person, only you can turn it around and use your love to help heal your pain by seeing how happier or better off that person may have become alone or even with another.
It is really better for you both in the long run.

I think lovers break up because they're just that; lovers. If they're lovers than they need to take the leap and become hubby and wifey.
