one of my best friends is male and he told me he was in love with me and has been for years now one of my best female friends has started seeing him how should i be feeling about this situations

You should be open and honest with him. How do you feel about him if you feel the same way maybe it not to late and he can let the other one down gentle and start with you. If that is what you want. If you have no feeling for him except for the friendship than you should not have to worry about this and you should tell him you are happy for him able to try and move on and you will too and you can still be friends so it is totally up to you and what you feel in your heart. He should have made his move ages ago instead of leaving it too long.Why has he told you this and then gone of with another friend of yours? Let it go if you can but i know that's harder said than done but in the long run it maybe better it will be for the best as he doesn't seem to be confident enough to react to his feelings. I would recommend that you wish you best friends well then leave them to it, then go for a new look to show him what he could have had if he had the courage in the first place to ask you out.

Like nothing because as soon as u start acting like it's nothing then that when he will start to show u some more attention. I've always had the remedy to get a guys attention is to ignore him and/or act like u have better things going on. Trust me i have done plenty of times and advised my friends to do it when they men start acting stupid and act like they don't give a fu** then u act like don't give a fu** to and then they become concern about why u spending time with and who u been talking to and who u been doin all the things that would have done with them, who u doin' with. But all in all, all i can say is do yo thang and let him b because he know where to find u if he still want. Find u another friend and see what happens. Good luck!

I feel sorry for your female friend who he is obviously just using. This situation won't benefit anybody, but I don't think you should say anything to her-she will just think you're jealous. If you want this guy for yourself, say something to him, or he won't know. But then think how your female friend will feel.... Oh dear, it's a bit of a mess! Hope you all work it out :)

how come he never made an honest attempt to romance you?
If I was in his situation I would only have said that to you for three reasons:
one, I was hopelessly in love with you but totally unable to see how you would ever accept my feelings for you
two, I wasn't much interested in the girl who likes me and trying to get with you is a better alternative, even if it was just to get her to lose interest
three, I was tired of hanging around the same old crowd of friends so I feel I have nothing to lose by playing for casual sex until the whole thing blows up and I have to move on.

either releaved or rejected, depending on your perspective. the girl i just split up with, i thought i was in love with but was in love someone else. i'm now with that other person and am happy than i was before. this is because i'm with the person i wanted to be with in the first place. let him get over you and be mate's, it's the best way. how would feel if you knew he was having incredible sex with this lady. my ex is really upset now that i've moved on, but it was her decision to be mate's, so she has to live with it.
