i have had to reinstall windows xp but know i have i lost my 'Hardware accelerator' is there any way i can get this back???

i cant reinstall it as i have no disk it was pre installed

You know what I don't understand,that there are still people out there selling self made computers,sell them for big money but deliver crap,and then the worst part is,they don't give you the original windows disk with it while you paid for it.
Its probably just a copy and make even More money.
If its recently new you should go back and demand an original windows disk with it.

I don't understand how you could have lost this. It is located in your control panel under display.

Try this to see if you can find it:

Right-click a blank area on the desktop and left-click Properties from the menu that appears. The Display Properties will open.
Click the Settings tab.
Click the Advanced button.
Click the Troubleshoot tab. A window will open with the display adapter type identified on the title bar.
Locate the hardware acceleration adjustment bar. (It will show the words None and Full at each end.)

all nesacary drivers to get your pc running will be in your BIOS. re-install windows get internet set up go pc manufacturer down load any thing you dont have. and after you have sorted it oout up and running make a backup image of your hard drive using the likes of paragon backup or something similar. it makes it easier to restore should your system fail.
