OK - your choices are between: a politician who agrees with your views but who has questionable ethics, and a politician who will never vote the way you want but who is squeaky clean.

How do you vote? Does it depend on how sleazy they are - what they've done? Or the issues involved (abortion, Iraq, etc.)?

What say you?

the only one that exist is the one who agrees with your views but has a record, the other one is fictional, there is no such thing as a "clean" politician so I would say like I always do I dont vote for lack of a good candidate.

It depends on the ethic issues in question. Is it just a matter of sexual indiscretions, if there guy stuff like that, If they smoked pot or drank when they were young20/30 years ago, I could care less. If its criminal, that's a different story. so I guess it would depend on what the questionable ethics were. And I never make Abortion issue much credence at election times in this day and age. that's the least of my worries.

Republicans will vote for anything that walks, talks, and crawls along the ground like a reptile!

Bush was a criminal when he was elected, he is a criminal now trying as hard as he can not to be held responsible for his torture tactics which violate International law! He wants to put his spin on the Geneva Conventions!

The quality, and the criminality of all those elected by the repubs just show you that they are immoral and have NO business preaching morality to anyone. They always take the low road if they can make a buck or screw some poor person to do it!

i vote on the issues but a corrupt person will not make it past me. a person that agrees with my views would not have questionable ethics.

My choice would probably be influenced more on issues although what they have done would be important - so I guess it would be both. Is what they have done bordering on criminal? If so, no way. If it is minor indescretions, then we have all had those at one point and they are only human.

Bottom line, I guess I straddle the fence on this question.
