Is the other person YOUR best friend or your sister's best friend?
I dont think your best friend has the right to with-hold knowledge about YOUR sister. Shes YOUR sister, NOT your best friend's!
On the other hand, your sister shouldnt expect YOUR best friend to keep secrets from you. Shes YOUR best friend, NOT your sister's!
Your sister and your best friend both should have some kind of loyalty to you. They should not have any kind of bond between the two of them and if they do it shouldnt compare to the bonds you have to the two of them. If this continues, I would go up to your best friend and ask her if shes your best friend or your sister's best friend. Inform her that shes acting like more of a friend to your sister than to you. And just ignore your sister and be rude to her and if she asks why you're like this, tell her that youre mad she stole your friend. This will get the message across to both of them.
If it were her best friend, I'd say youre being nosey and leave her alone.
But no, its your best friend, your sister should find her own.

Secrets don't make friends, so i guess your sister is not a friend, but just a sister. Who cares if she doesn't tell you secrets. I think you're better off not knowing. Remember ignorance is bliss in your case.

What exactly do you mean 'what's wrong with my sister'? Is she doing something that's bad? Because if she is I'd try and find out. But if it turns out she's not doing anything wrong, I wouldn't go snooping around. That leads to trouble.

Maybe she thinks you might tell someone else
or maybe shes telling your best friend bad things about you to try and take your best friend.

She's probably afraid that you will tell Mommy j/k
Maybe she thinks your friend is easier to confide in or "Cooler"
Try hanging out with her alone, and she may slowly & unconsciously tell you some things even when you least expect it

Maybe she just feels more comfortable talking to someone outside the home. Let her know you are there for her and that you will keep what she says confidential unless its something like she is going to harm herself or others of course. She needs to know she can trust you.

if it was really bad your "best friend" would have told you or your parents if it was actually a problem since she didn't I doubt its anything really important or your friend doesn't really care about you or your sister to help solve the problem.
