We conspiracionados like to protect our brains from CIA and alien brainwave zapping technologies. Silver foil helps rebound the satellite waves off our heads, thereby keeping us safe.
Personally, I coat the inside and outside walls of my house with silver foil, have mirrored reflective shutters for the windows and doors. But then again, I do live in the White House.

Well, many crazy people who hear voices or who are paranoid--paranoid schizophrenics--will where tin foil hats to make the intergalactic beams the aliens send bounce off or to prevent the radio signals from the CIA from actually reading his thoughts. See? People who where tin foil hats are crazy and have crazy thoughts much like those who think 9/11 was a conspiracy by the government or the Jews.

i think superstitious ppl put tin foil on their heads so aliens can't read their thoughts. So when they tell them to take off the tin foil hats, they're telling them to get a life and stop believing the crap
