If all of his needs are met and he still is inconsolable, he may have colic. I'm sure it can be really overwhelming for you, and if you start feeling overwhelmed you should put your baby down for a while so that you can calm yourself. Sometimes there is nothing you can do to calm a baby with colic, and you need to take care of yourself, too. Ask someone to watch the baby for a while so that you can take a break.
Talk to your pediatrician, and for more information now regarding possible causes and solutions for colic go to http://www.babycenter.com/expert/baby/babyills/colic/3160.html.

It colic. It might be the formula your child is eating. It may also be the type of bottles you are using. I found that when my son was going through this when I used the Dr. Brown bottles or the Parent's Choice( Walmart brand of bottles) bottles helped a lot. When you feed your baby make sure to burp the baby every once of two. Then after your baby is done eating put the baby in a swing or bouncy seat for about 30 minutes and let the food digest. You can also try Hyland's Colic Tablets. Before you change the baby's formula talk to your doctor first.

It depends...does he need to be burped? Is he tired? Sometimes they're just overstimulated. If you know he's not tired or gassy, strap him into a bouncy seat and put on music (most seats have a playbar attached.) Take him for a walk in the stroller or in a baby harness. Sing to him while walking through the house. Most of all get time for yourself because it's very difficult to listen to a baby scream.

Well, when my baby cried all the time like that we found out he was allergic to milk and soy and had reflux.
However it may just be a simple thing like stomach upset, and mylocon drops might help, or an ear infection.
I guess what I am getting at is talk to your babies doctor, they can find out what it is, and rule out the bad stuff.

I don't know if you nurse or bottle feed but if you use formula he may need to change.Find a pediatrician that will listen to you and offer good advice. It's not normal for a 3 week old to cry most of the time.I'll pray.

he's spoiled, wants to be held. you've done it this time! lol. see if he still cries while you're holding him. if so, maybe he's in pain somewhere internally that you're not aware of. have the doc check him out. if he's still constantly fussy, let him fuss. crying isnt going to kill them, it strenthens their lungs! i'm not suggesting u let him cry for hours and hours!!! a few mins of fussing isnt going to hurt him any though. make sure he's all well first though.

I agree with Chris. I don't have a baby yet, but remember he was in your womb, warm, cuddled, dark, secure. Wrap him well and love him. Let him hear your heart beat... that is what he heard for 9-10mo before birth. Good luck

Just give him attention, hold him. Maybe he's sick or just really tired. With attention, you can't spoil a kid under a year old. They need love and attention to grow and become socialized and happy!
