Like any gadget, MP3 players cut a little bit of hassle out of life. You don't need to change the disk or the cassette or cartridge. You will, however, need access to a computer to transfer songs onto it.

If you listen to music all the time and find yourself having to carry around lots of cd's and cassettes when you get tired of what you are listening to; or you prefer to mix songs onto your compilation disks and aren't satisfied with their capacity, then yeah, get an MP3 player. Less hassle, frustration and annoyances.

I have an MP3 player but I mostly use it to carry files from one computer to another as it doubles as a thumbdrive, it holds considerably more than a floppy disk. At 1Gb it has enough songs to keep fresh ones coming in when I listen, but I only really play music on it if I'm on the train. I've just started jogging, so I use it there as well. I walk to work a lot and I see a lot of people listening to music, but so much can happen to you when you walk down a busy street, I prefer to keep my ears open.

I have a Creative Zen Micro 5gb, and I love it!
But My first mp3 player was great to I just need more memory. They have it onsale now, 1gb $19.99! U can't beat that. It's a perfect starter Mp3 Player and holds about 60-80 songs.
It's better than an Ipod Nano, 1gb $100! Anyway tiger direct has it on sale for a limited time, sturdy design and nice size five times cheaper than an ipod for the same thing!

I've never met my MP player. I was hoping my MP had better things to do with his time than be played with. Wouldn't mind playing with Chris Bryant though...
