tried to get over someone, its been 2 years and I cant get passed it and I have tried everything?

I still love my 16 year old flame. Sigh. Havent seen him since 1989. We have gone our seperate ways. We were best friends as kids (boy and girl, yes)., then as we got older, we got to noticing each other and had a brief thing. I really loved him. And still do.
I still have been married since then, and now have a long relationship (divorced from first husband) of two years.
You may not ever get him off your mind, but there are always more to meet and I think you just need to keep looking and dating until you find something that gets your mind off him. It doesnt mean you have to stop loving him.

Eventually, things will get better. Just know in your heart that you are a good person and that someday, God will see fit to shove your soul mate right under your nose when you least expect it! Until that time, just have fun and live life to the fullest! Don't waste it on depression or loneliness!

2 years is nothing if you truly loved him. BUT I heard that their is an actual ratio of time to years you were together. For example, if you were together for 2 years, it should take 6 mos. or something like that...
You need patience and time to take care of it.
