It's perfectly normal to bleed after you have sex for the first time. It's because the hymen is broken the first time. It'll be a bit painful the first few times but you'll be fine. If you mean stop during the first time - well yes or it'll hurt.

Just to illustrate how normal you are, for centuries it was the tradition to display the sheet from the bed of newlyweds after the wedding night so that people could see the blood and know that the bride had been a virgin! So, as you can see it was expected the first time.

Hi Sara - this is normal as when women have penetrative sex for the first time, some do bleed a little bit if the hymen (a small piece of thin skin which covers some of the opening of the vagina) is still intact, as it will break the first time they have sexual intercourse. This doesn't happen in all women as the hymen may already have broken before sex, for example through using tampons or taking part in some sports. It is therefore quite unlikely that your hymen wouldn't have broken until now.

Do not worry about this but do please remember to be sensible and take precautions against STD and pregnancy.

bleeding means your hymen is getting broke. And the hymen which used to black the vaginal canal is torn up. Don't worry. Make sure he loves you. Make sure he will stop if you say it hurts or you can't keep going. You need to relax and let the bleeding go, don't think of it. Think about how ,much you love that man. The best position would be you on top but you should lay on him. And work your way up until you almost stay straight, like 90 degrees. Then, you should enjoy it.
if it hurts a lot, and you can't take it anymore, tell him to stop. Otherwise all should be fine, and you will moan softly.

it sounds like she is misscarrying. spotting is fine, that can mean implantation. but a regular period type thing (after 7 weeks) or gushing blood, usually means miscarriage. then again, she could be like me, and have a period the first 2 months of pregnancy. i did with both of my kids. i wasn't crazy, because my kids came 9 months later. some women, very rare, have periods, one or 2 when they first become pregnant. it happens, it did to me. but whatever the case may be, you guys having sex, i highly doubt had anything to do with it. the child is well protected from anything like that. she needs to make an appointment and have them do an ultrasound to confirm a viable pregnancy., not just listen to the heartbeat. i can't believe they didn't do that already. if they try to say they aren't going to, i would throw a fit, and tell them that one needs done, or your changing docs.

You always bleed the first time when the hymen is broken. If you can deal with the pain, it's best just to continue so that it won't hurt the 2nd time.

No. My mum explained this to me. It's because there's a bit of skin inside you that breaks first time you have sex. It's totally normal, don't worry!!!

It happens to most women. You should stop anyway though... wait until your married (otherwise you take the risk of becoming an unwed mother).
