I think he will be remembered in American HIstory as a great president that stood up for what he believed in. But then again..."History is written by those that can afford to write it". Infact the neoconservative movement will praise him in the same way that they do Reagan.....or the way they did for Nixon. Both, presidents that committed horrific war crimes against humanity in the name of democracy.

Major historians have described him as "the worst president"... (the Rolling Stone article of a few months ago). Somehow in that article they chose to forget that he was NEVER elected. How can one put one's "personal beliefs" aside in the face of evil? Down with Dictator Dumbya!!!

As the President who hastened the decline of the US. He will be remembered as the President who inherited an America that was the most powerful economic and military force that was also the most admired, respected and trusted – and left office with the economy and military in decline and the United States as the most hated and despised country in the world because he stripped America of all its dignity, honor, and respect. He will share this blame with conservative Christian movement.

I guess the same way it remembers other presidents who got involved in messy, costly, kill-a-lot foreign wars and domestic disasters. "Those who would sacrifice liberty for security deserve neither." Benjamin Franklin. Where's our liberty? Where's our security? Why are we spending so much on "democracy" for other countries (via war) while we destroy it at home?
I don't have to wait for history to catch up to the president's failures. I can see them already. I don't know that history will focus as much on his word blunders and off-putting personality. But the big stuff will look just as bad in the history books as it does now.

For a short period of time, the Neo-Conservatives will cry and scream. Then once everything is uncovered, once we really find out all the facts, he will go down as the most incompetent, worst diplomatic president of modern times.
