There should be some way the education system could make sure that students do their own homework. In a classroom, the teacher can make sure that the students are doing their own work, but all bets are off with homework.
It is easy for students to get help on homework from parents, older siblings, or even the Internet. While doing so allows students to get the assignment done, in the bigger picture, the student is doing himself/herself a disservice by basically cheating on their homework.
The education system would be much better off if there was someway to get kids to do their own work at home.
Thanks for the 2 points, and do you know the definition of sarcasm???

many students not being at the educational level they should be in... mention the drop out rate (if you know it) and also the funding that schools get.... here in cali, some school are given A LOT more funding then others.... better equipment (computers, books, etc...) good luck and hope this helps!!

So we can have more kids going to school, creating a better society.
Kids will be smarter.
Kids who have never been able to get an education because they were too poor can now have an education.

Most homework and tests dont actually assess any useful form of learning. They test rote memorization rather than higher level thinking skills. Standardized testing, for example, leads to teachers teaching to the test and not to the students.
Basically, lessons that don't teach and tests that dont test.
