I have a Bonneville that starts and then almost dies. After that it will usually kick back up and run fine. It has faded and almost died at an intersection. I replaced the fuel filter, but not both of them. Any help, before I start putting money in it

Has it been worked on lately ?. Smog check ?
Just a thought, sometimes something gets "adjusted" accidently.
I would look for a vacuum leak. Not showing any "check engine"
indicators ? If not, then injector problems are not it.
Something not connected to obd.
Stay away from dealers, they like to rebuild your engine or sell you a battery. Make them or wherever you go, a deal, if the problem isn't solved by their diagnosis (guess) you will pay parts cost but no labor. They will jack up parts cost double or triple so be careful.
