What I'm trying to ask is, when you are designing websites with content that takes up a lot of space like audio and videos, how can you do this from one computer without running out of room on your hard drive - all files that are on the website are mirrored on the hard drive and as far as I know this is a necessity. I am working on my third website and I update them all from this computer. How do people who are webmasters deal with this issue? Thanks a lot for your input and I hope this question is clear enough.

there is no need to mirror the website on your own computer - just pull down the files you want to work on and then put them back when you have finished ! - of course somewhere you should do a backup but that can be on removable media

What I would recommend would be to not mirror your sites. When a certain site you are working on gets to about 600MB in size, I would backup the site on a CD. Then remove that site off your hard drive to clear up space.

basically form: layout c: No, i'm basically kidding! you could reinstall abode windows, overwriting the present abode windows folder, yet leaving something of the record gadget intact. truly it effects dropping all registry settings, so there will be various courses which ought to be reinstalled. yet there could be plenty which doesn' t, like totalcommander. yet think of two times earlier reinstalling. There could be courses, which run interior the history, and you do no longer truly choose them. check out start up->application records->start up-up folder, and delete what you do no longer choose. regrettably there are courses that don't placed something there, yet basically start up at gadget start up-up. there isn't any widespread recipe to inactivate those, yet those courses often have some "strategies" or "alternatives" abode windows.
