The water doesn't make wool shrink...

The dryer makes it shrink....

Stick the critter in the dryer on high for about a hour.

It'll come out looking like a dust mop.

coz they are mammals. Their wool is matted and contain all sorts of products. When you wash a jumper you always wash on a cool setting use a product like Lux or Woolite especially for woollens then they wont shrink

Because they don't get heat dried. That's what shrinks the wool. They just get that wet sheep smell... like wet dog.

when it rains it tends to be cloudy so there is little available light. so if the sheep can't travel at the speed of light..they can't shrink.

That was funny....thank you for the chuckle i really needed one today.

:)

btw...The wool sweaters shrink because of the heat in the dryer, not the water in the washer.

Well, human skin doesn't shrink either. And why is it that when you are in the bath for too long your skin goes all crinkly and then goes back to normal.

They do shrink, but they also come closer so the net effect is that they appear to stay the same size.
