I've been looking all over at hotels in boston, cause its my hometown, and ive been trying to plan a vacation, but I can't seem to find a hotel that will let me check in under age 21, as I am 19... Ive checked into plenty of hotels in florida, but is it different up north?

As long as you have a credit card, I don't see why you couldn't check into a hotel--is it a law in boston that you have to be 21? Wow. If so, maybe you could look into a youth hostel or something instead of a hotel.

This doesn't necessarily vary by state or region, as much as by hotel. However, in Florida and more typical vacation places the rules are obviously much more relaxed. In Boston it can be very difficult to find a hotel- reason being, Boston is a young city. Tons of colleges, grad students, etc. No hotel wants to run the risk and be the responsible party of under age drinking, or other disasters caused by young partying kids. So, I can see how it sort of makes sense that so many places put these rules in place, but it's unfortunate for the people who wouldn't trash a hotel room or be drinking, etc and literally just need somewhere to sleep! I would suggest contacting the large hotel chains first, and see what they say. I know specifically that the Park Plaza has no age restrictions, or at least it didn't a few years ago when I was under 21 and went there. If none of the big chains help you, then try smaller hotels a little outside of the city, like the places in Somerville, Cambridge, Lexington, etc.

Yes well use your license, or ID, the thing is they cant have customers using alcohol in their rooms if he/she is not old enough. They won't babysit you, so to protect them from potential costs and problems, they just won't let people stay in the rooms who are under 21.
UNLESS you have someone who is old enough to do it for you. While on vaca find some cute guy near a bar or something and get him to sign for the hotel.
