.42 per mile times 64 miles per hour ( Most companies are set for 67-70 ) times 11 hours a day, if you're lucky. EQUALS??
then you have times you run out of hours because 64 mph didn't get you there, so you have to swap loads and get some hours back, .....hhmmmmm....I used to drive for HEYL ( heyl.net ) and I really did get great mileage at 67 mph..give them a ring and if you get Doug for a Manager, count your lucky stars..tell him Big Jim Flint says HI!!

JB Hunt is a good company . Years ago they were the interstate joke . Now days they are a force to be reckoned with. Yes you can expect 2500 miles a week from them. I don't know how much experiance you have , but stay out on the road. Don't worry about being home every weekend. What you want to do is get in good with dispatch. Ask for the load that 's going cross country on Friday. No one else wants it. You'll get the miles and the loads . The secret is take the loads with the greatest distance to them. If you take only the short loads then you'll being unloading and loading everyday. That is a waste of your time.

JB Hunt will pay you 42¢ a mile, but that includes their contribution to your 401k, your insurance, log books they buy for you, etc, etc. You can expect to see closer to 28¢ a mile actually show up on your paycheck for the first year, with a penny or two raise annually.
