As much as one would like all of life to be about oneself, it must accommodate everyone, even those who are new at life.
There are almost endless opportunities to increase ones patience, tolerance, and forbearance..... and the opportunity applies to all.

I TOTALLY agree with you! These people who ask questions, I think just enjoy babbling about virtually nothing. You are right, if they can come here and ask the question, they can surely do an on line search. Many are indeed lazy as they come, and many may just be too stupid. Those questions in the Wedding section are especially stupid, ones such as: What color should my wedding be? What flowers should I get? Should I have a baby soon after my wedding? These kinds of people should NOT even be GETTING married if they cannot figure out the "no brainer" questions they are asking. Some are just wasting time, I think, and many are teens and preteens who sit around fantasizing about their wedding which is probably years and years in the future. In any case, this site becomes more lame by the day! Oh yes, and how about the dipwads who tell you they will give you ten points for the best answer! Is this supposed to be some great enticement for answering their ridiculous question? Apparently so!

You say that your questions are different because your questions cannot be answered by searching for them youself. Do you not think that you are hypocritical in that I noticed one of your questions (for example) asked if anyone knew of any rowing clubs in Denver area. I'm sure that you could have found that out for yourself! So why did you ask? Does that mean you are lazy/dense too? I'm not criticising, just making a point.
I don't think using this site is about being lazy. I think people ask the questions they do because they are interested in other people's opinions on a topic: Many questions do not have just one answer.

Yup, people are lazy and dense for the most part! I cannot understand some of the doofus-y questions I see here.
For example, someone in homework help just asked what the primes between 1-1000 were. I mean, sheesh, you can look that up on google in the same amount of time it took to write and submit the YA question, and you'd have the answer right away rather than having to return to YA and weed through all the answers.
I find YA fascinating, just to see what kind of people are out there! It's kind of scary sometimes!
Thanks for being a rare reasonable person here at YA, asker!

I think its just lazy. As you say, a search usually throws up a good number of sites to explore. I love doing that, its so interesting and I must admit I often get sidetracked coz I find something I get carried away with! lol
Actually I quite like looking up other peoples question, I supopose Im just an aging geek hehehehe

Do you believe everything you read? I don't. Sometimes there is nothing wrong with looking for the human element in an answer. I will agree that for the most part a lot of questions should not be asked before trying research yourself, but when it isn't all cut and dry it's nice to have opinions to glean from, too.
When you were typing in your question, didn't it say that there were already numerous questions of this nature already posted?
How does this differ from those who want answers without researching?

I like to believe I am not dense, but that I am lazy. It is my belief that other folks who use answers are quite dense. So, my best guess is that you will find people both lazy and dense.
